Thirty years ago today, my wife and I committed ourselves with vows to one another for life. I have no idea how long that will be, but if the first thirty years are any indication, the remainder will be wonderful.
I praise the Father for thinking up marriage and for bringing my path across hers thirty and half years ago!!
We met in late August, 1980, had our first date in mid-November, became engaged on Dec. 2 and married March 7th, 1981. We knew God had put us together. He has been ever faithful to guide us both in the relationship and through parenting our five children.

Congratulations, David! We passed twenty years a couple of years ago and are now headed toward 25 then 30. Like you, we know that we are together (and remain together) only by the grace of God!

Thanks, Alan.
It's nice to hear from you again!!
More congratulations, David! Miriam and I hit 40 last fall. But it is sad how many of the couples we knew 30-40 years ago have broken up--and these were our Christian friends from back then! I commend you and Freida for hanging in there.
Thank you, Phil! There are many, many small reasons that help us see one another with love after all these years. However, that we know these small reasons is because of the Father.
For my half, I have always believed that making our marriage grow and constantly provide us both with emotional substance had to be possible, and that I had a responsibility to lead in that effort.
I have never accepted that God intended marriage to become a lifeless weight on either partner. Which has meant always being willing to recognize when my contribution has been too minimal or even counter-productive, apologize and do differently.
Thirty Years have bountifully overflowed with grace, love, mercy and LOTS of ACTIVITIES rearing our five jewels. Best of all, we have shared it ALL together. More in Love.
That is so sweet! Good luck and congratulations to you and your wife on your pearl anniversary!
Thanks, Lola, for visiting the blog here and for your well wishes. Glad you stopped by.
